“Rio Rancho, NM (August 26, 2025) — Lectrosonics is pleased to announce a set of firmware updates available for users outside the United States to allow for simultaneous recording and transmitting in certain transmitter models. From August 26th forward, all units of DBSM, DBSMD, DPR-A, SMWB, and SMDWB for non-U.S. markets will come with the new firmware.”

Lectrosonics DBSM and DBSMD Digital Bodypack Transmitters
For users outside the US or Canada
If you already own one of these models with a /X, /E01, /E06, or /E09 market identifier—or the DPR/E01—you can easily download the updated firmware for field installation. Step-by-step upgrade instructions are available on the Lectrosonics website at http://www.lectrosonics.com/rectx.
Digital transmitter models DPR, DPR-A, DBSM, and DBSMD that support timecode jam sync will disable timecode when recording and transmitting simultaneously. Digital Hybrid Wireless® models SMWB and SMDWB do not support timecode.
Users outside the US or Canada who wish to receive the update, as well as those with transmitter model numbers not including E01, E06, or X, should email service.repair@lectrosonics.com or call 505-892-4501 or 800-821-1121 for more details. Users with existing units in Canada desiring the update will be required to send their units to the Lectrosonics Canada office in Toronto.
For users in the US or Canada
Users with existing units in Canada desiring the update will be required to send their units to the Lectrosonics Canada office in Toronto. US users with these transmitter models are not eligible for the feature upgrade at this time.
