As part of Pinknoise celebrating our 20-year anniversary, we are hosting a workshop, in partnership with Bubblebee Industries and Shure Microphones, and our friends at Association of Motion Picture Sound (AMPS)

Workshop Breakdown

There will be two workshops, one at UWE Bristol and the other at Bristol Film School - boomsatsuma. The day will be split into two parts, each session will consist of five groups of five to seven attendees, all moving around the five workstations every 25 minutes.

Four of the workstations are based on different types of television setup; Drama, documentary, reality and broadcast. Each station is based on a television show within the genres. The idea is to go through the different types of micing techniques depending on the costumes, talent and environments. There will be actors to mic-up, different costumes to navigate and IEMs to hear the results.

The afternoon will consist of a talk by a professional re-recording mixer, Martyn Harries from AMPS and a presentation by Shure Microphones. The fifth and final station of the day will be a Shure station, where attendees can get their hands on exciting Shure wireless systems and microphones. Along with the workshop, there will be Shure and Bubblebee products available to purchase on the day with event discounts applied!

Workshop Giveaway

We will be hosting a giveaway for those who attend the workshop. How can you enter? Simply spend £50 on Bubblebee Industries products at the workshop, and you will be automatically entered into the prize draw. 

The winner's name will be randomly selected and contacted via email on Friday, January 24th. The winner will then have the option to choose between the Limited Edition Pinkoise RAD-1 or RAD-2. Once the winner confirms their choice and provides their address, we will send out the prize.

AMPS Social: Celebrating Pinknoise 20th Anniversary 

AMPS is hosting a Pinknoise 20th Anniversary Social, and you’re all invited! The Amps Social will take place in Bristol on January 22nd from 7 pm onwards, following our first workshop. We’d love to see as many faces as we can; it’s a great opportunity to network with local sound professionals and get to know the people behind Pinknoise and Amps! Our first event will be held at the UWE Arnolfini Campus, located in the centre of Bristol on Narrow Quay, between the harbourside and Prince Street. The Grove Car Park is located next to the campus if you wish to park close to the event. 

Bristol Film School

Thursday 23^rd January 2025 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The second event will be held at boomsatsuma, Bristol Film School, located within the Regency House in Brislington, Bristol. Main road parking is available in front of and beside the Regency House.
