Smart Power Switching with PPS Support
When connected to a standard USB-C PD source with a 15V profile, the ePSB outputs a stable 15V DC, ideal for powering devices directly or via an Audioroot power distributor.
For advanced setups, the ePSB takes full advantage of PPS (Programmable Power Supply) technology. When used with a PPS-compatible USB-C charger, the ePSB outputs 17V DC—perfect for dual power configurations. At 17V, your equipment draws power from the PD source in priority over any 16.8V lithium-ion battery. If AC power is lost or the USB-C cable is disconnected, the battery backup takes over seamlessly, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
What is PPS and Why It Matters
PPS (Programmable Power Supply) is an extension of the USB Power Delivery standard that allows real-time, dynamic voltage and current adjustment. This means the charger and device can negotiate and fine-tune power delivery with much greater precision. In the case of the ePSB, this allows output at 17V DC, which is not available in fixed PD profiles.
